Während eines normalen Tags in der Blütensaison atmet man bis zu 8000 Pollen ein, ohne dass man was merkt. Bei einem Allergiker reichen bereits so ungefähr 50 der in der Luft umher schwirrenden Pollen um den Abwehrmechanismus des Körpers so richtig in Gang zu bringen.
Schau mal zwei Birkenpollen.
Meine eigenen Erfahrungen unter dem Motto : Vorbeugen ist besser als hinterher den Schlamassel haben.
Wenn man nicht weiß auf welche Pollen man allergisch reagiert, besser mal zum Onkel Doktor gehen. Wenn man weiß, auf welche Pollen man allergisch reagiert, immer schön hier im Kalender gucken. Bei starkem Pollenflug sollte man dann den Aufenthalt im Freien und vor allem körperliche Belastung (z.B. Müll rausbringen) nach Möglichkeit vermeiden.
In den frühen Morgenstunden ist die Pollendichte in der Regel am größten. Zu dieser Tageszeit sollte man daher die Fenster geschlossen halten.
Während der Pollenflugzeit jeden Abend die Haare waschen. So kann man verhindern, dass an den Haaren haftende Pollen jede Nacht neben der Nase liegen.
Beim Autofahren gelangen Pollen in hohen Konzentrationen durch die Lüftung ins Fahrzeuginnere. Wer viel Auto fahren muss, sollte daher an den Einbau einer Klimaanlage mit Pollenfilter denken.
Da die Pollen auch an der Kleidung haften, sollte man sich nicht im Schlafzimmer ausziehen und die Kleidungsstücke evtl. auf dem Balkon oder im Garten ausbürsten. Aber dabei nicht nackig auf dem Balkon oder im Garten rumlaufen.
Auch bei der Urlaubsplanung an die Pollenbelastung denken. Günstig ist zum Beispiel ein Urlaub im Hochgebirge an den Polen oder im Meer. Und nicht vergessen, antiallergische Medikamente gehören in jedem Fall mit ins Reisegepäck.
